1. Agreement to terms
LLMCompare is developed and operated by Glowww SNC, a company registered in Belgium with VAT number BE 0507.859.633, located at Lepelstraat 35/a, 3800 Sint-Truiden, Belgium.
By accessing or using LLMCompare ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you are agreeing to these Terms for that organization and represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of service
LLMCompare is a benchmarking platform that allows users to compare vision-capable language models for document extraction tasks. The Service provides tools to upload documents, define extraction schemas, run benchmarks across multiple AI models, and analyze results including accuracy, cost, and performance metrics.
3. Account registration and security
To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Use a strong, unique password for your account
- Enable two-factor authentication when available
- Not share your account credentials with others
- Notify us immediately at llmcompare@svenpeeters.be if you suspect unauthorized access
- Log out from shared or public devices
- Promptly update your account information as needed
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
We reserve the right to suspend accounts showing signs of compromise until security is verified.
The Service is intended for users 16 years of age or older. Users between 13-16 require verifiable parental consent in accordance with GDPR requirements.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any laws
- Upload documents containing illegal content or content you do not have rights to use
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Use the Service to transmit malware or harmful code
- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
- Use automated systems to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable use
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
5. User content
You retain ownership of any documents, schemas, and other content you upload to the Service ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant LLMCompare a limited license to process, store, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have all necessary rights to upload and process such content through the Service.
6. Third-party AI models
The Service utilizes third-party AI models accessed through OpenRouter and other providers (including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and others). Your use of these models is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.
LLMCompare is not responsible for the output, accuracy, or availability of third-party AI models. AI model providers may have their own data retention and training policies that you should review before uploading sensitive documents.
7. Payment and billing
Certain features of the Service require payment. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to pay all applicable fees. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in these Terms.
We reserve the right to modify pricing with at least 30 days advance notice. We will notify you of price changes via email. Continued use of the Service after price changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new pricing. You may cancel your subscription before the new pricing takes effect.
8. API keys (BYOK plans)
For "Bring Your Own Key" (BYOK) plans:
- You are responsible for the security of your API keys
- You should use API keys with limited permissions where possible
- Your API keys are encrypted at rest but we cannot recover them if lost
- You are responsible for key rotation and should rotate keys if you suspect compromise
- API keys are permanently deleted when you remove them or delete your account
We are not liable for unauthorized use of your API keys resulting from your failure to maintain their security.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by LLMCompare and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Our trademarks may not be used without prior written consent.
10. Service availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We are not liable for service interruptions due to:
- Scheduled maintenance (announced in advance when possible)
- Third-party AI provider outages or rate limits
- Infrastructure failures beyond our reasonable control
- Necessary security updates or emergency maintenance
- Force majeure events
11. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI model outputs or benchmark results. You acknowledge that AI-generated extractions may contain errors and should be verified before use in critical applications.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GLOWWW SNC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Security and liability
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However:
- We are not liable for unauthorized access resulting from your failure to maintain account security (weak passwords, shared credentials, compromised devices)
- We are not liable for data exposure resulting from your own actions (sharing API keys, making data public, uploading to wrong project)
- Our liability for security incidents is limited as described above, except where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
13. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service will cease immediately
- You may request export of your data within 30 days of termination
- Your data will be deleted within 30 days unless we are required to retain it by law
You may terminate your account at any time through the account settings or by contacting us.
14. Changes to terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by:
- Posting the updated Terms on the Service
- Updating the "Last updated" date
- Sending an email notification at least 30 days before changes take effect for material changes
Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Belgium, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hasselt, Belgium.
